About Curley Park Rangers Football Club
Curley Park Rangers was established in 1973. The name is derived from the local prominent landmark of Curley Hill in Lightwater Country Park. Originally operating out of Lightwater, the Club rapidly expanded in the late 1970s to cover all of the Windlesham Parish by the end of the decade and well beyond that in the following years to now take in a large part of Surrey Heath. We can now boast over 550 members, boys and girls, from 5 years of age up. The Club is an FA Charter Standard Community Club, a kite mark for children’s football for which we had to attain exacting standards of coaching, administration, financial control and governance on which we are regularly inspected. We are one of only 11 clubs to attain this charter within Surrey.
We have 38 registered teams (not including the 5, 6 and 7 year olds) that play every weekend.
A Club of this size requires a large number of dedicated people and this is entirely carried out by volunteers for no remuneration. From the Coaches and Managers to the Committee, all give up their spare time willingly to provide football for a wide cross section of children of all abilities. The club is a non-profit making organisation.
