Another Great performance from the Sabres saw them maintain their 100% winning record against a very strong Shooters FC who until today also had been unbeaten .
The First half was very tight but a great move from defence through the midfield released Marcus Gallagher down the left wing who crossed from the byline for Joe Hosty who had ran 30 yds to meet it to slot the ball home . Shooters got one goal back just before half time when they played some neat football to undo the CPR defence for the first time and a crisp shot from their number 10 meant it was all sqaure at half time.
A number of changes at half time seemed to make a diffrence and quickly after the restart Patrick Lynch was releaed through the middle and took his chance well making it 2 -1. CPR controlled the ball and played most of the game in the opositions half for the remainder of the game, only having to defend on a few occasions when Shooters broke at speed with their very dangerous trio up front, but the defence were solid and kept them out. With 5 miniutes to go Luke Wignall picked the ball up on the half way line and had a foot race with two of their defenders who he beat with his blistering pace and calmly slotted home across the keeper with his right foot to seal the win 3-1
It was a great all round team performace but Frank Horsfield earned MOM for hiis hard work and unselfishness in a very competitve midfield battle.
