06 March 2010 11:00 - NEHYL Camberley Town Raiders 1 - 2 Trojans |
| As the score suggests this was a very close game, a derby game with both teams fighting hard for the win.
The Trojans opened up with good possesion, passing the ball around well, wining the ball in midfield and pressing the Camberley defence. This resulted in a excellent chance for Matt Murphy who broke free down the left flank and rifled a shot from the edge of the box which was well saved by the keeper. Camberley then started to come back into the game, pressig hard on the Trojans to win the ball. This stated to work with the Trojans giving away the ball, Camberley broke quickly down their right wing, the ball passed back onto the edge of the penalty box and finished well by one of their mdifield players. The Trojans struck back befor the half ended, when Luke Gaskell got the ball down the right side, got free of his marker and hit a ow hard shot past the keepers near post. 1-1 at half time.
The 2nd hald was the same as the 1st, ver close with both teams getting chances. The Trojans had a little more possesion but could not get through a tough Camberley defence. The breakthrough came for the Trojans from a corner on the left side the ball bounced in the area and Dyaln Hooper reacted quicker than anybody else and smashed the ball into the roof of the net. Camberley has a few chances to level the score late on but couldn't finish them off.
Although this was a very competeitive game it was played in the right spirit, two teams working hard for the win with few fouls being made. |

20 February 2010 12:00 - NEHYL Petersfied Town Leopards 6 - 1 Trojans |
| A very slow start to the game by the Trojans against avery good Petersfield team led to the Trojans being down 3-0 by the 15 min mark and 4-0 by half time. Petersfield came out fast , pressing the ball and tackling strongly. The Trojans kept on giving the ball away and cleared poorly from defence. This led to the CPR team being under pressure and eventually giving away the 1st goal with some sloopy defending. This galvanised Petersfield even further who added two more in the next ten minutes. The Trojans started to gain more possesion before the end of the half but could not pull back the deficit.
The 2nd half was a more even contest with the Trojans managing to gain more possesion in midfield and press the Petersfield defence. With the Trojans pressing forward Petersfield caught the away side on the break and added a 5th goal. The game flowed from end to end, the Trojans attacked down their right wing, good passing between Sam Mills, Matt Varns and Ryan Blake led to Ryan having a shot from outside the area, the ball hitting the crossbar and Dylan Hooper on hand to head in the rebound. Petersfield got their 6th near the end of the game to finish off a very good display.

13 February 2010 12:00 - NEHYL League Cup Semi Final. Trojans 1 - 0 Bourne Patriots United |
| Connaught, Bagshot
After a hard fought semi final the Trojans progress to the final with a 1-0 win. In the first ten minutes the Trojans were second best, Bourne were quicker to the ball and stronger in the tackle. from this they produced a number of attacks and a number of fine saves from Ryan Morrison in the Trojans goal. The Trojans then secured more possesion, passing the ball and creating chances. Most of the last ten minutes was played in the Bourne half with with occasional break by the visitors. The half ended 0-0, a fair score so far.
Both teams came out very committted in the second half, a fast physical game continued with both teams having clear chances on goal but neither taking their opportunities. 06 February 2010 12:00 - Hampshire Cup semi final Trojans 1-1 Crookham Rovers Crookham won 5-4 on penalties |
| This was the first game in two months for both teams and so could of been an error riddled game. That could not have been further from the truth. The game was played at a high pace with a high standard of football played.
The Trojans dominated the first ten minutes, controlling the midfiled areas and passing the ball around well, particularly down the left side. This created a number of opportuntites in the Crookham area and had it not been for some excellent defending by the visitors the Trojans would have pushed into the lead. After about 10 minutes Crookham started to get into the game, more possesion pushing into the Trojans half, no real pressure on goal but got a corner on the left side of the Trojans goal. A well taken corner, not cleared properly, the ball bounced in the centre of the six yards box and the Crookham player reacting quicker, hitting the ball into the roof of the net. For the rest of the half Crookham were pushing the Trojans hard, not allowing the home team any time or a great deal of possesion. Halftime and 1-0 to Crookham.
The Trojans presssed more in the 2nd half, enjoying more posession. The ball was being passed quickly, more chances were created, more misses and saves by the Crookham keeper. Crookham were still dangerous on the counter attack, long balls over the top of which the Trojans defence and keeper coped with, some last ditch tackles were needed. Louie Gilpin eventually got the home team level with some lovely skill and fantastic finish. Both teams had chances before the end of normal time but 1-1 after 60 mins and extra time was needed.
Ten minutes each way again saw both teams create chances, no more goals and onto penalties. Crookham came out on top 5-4 on penaties, well done to them and good luck in the final.
A fantastic fgame or U11s, well done to all the players and thank you to the officials and spectators for helping to make it a great match.

| The Trojans entertained Fordingbridge Town in the quarter final of the Hampshire Cup with the Trojans coming out 2-1 winners in a hard fought win.
Fordingbridge had travelled up from the New Forest and immedialtely from kick off went on the offensive, their tall striker went around three players before he came up against the defensive midfield of the Trojans. The ball then snapped between the sides until the Trojans mounted an attack, the ball being played about nicely until it was in the opponents area. After a couple of blocked shots Louie Gilpin made it 1-0 with a stike from the six yard line in the 3rd minute. For the remainder of the half the Trojans dominated possesion, quick flowing passes lead to a number of chances on goal, Louie , Callum Morris and Matt Murphy all getting in on the goalkeepr who either pulled off good saves or pressured the attacker and the ball went wide. The Trojans defence cleared anything that went their way in this period with only a couple of balls getting through to Matt Lowe in goal.
Fordingbridge got the perfect start in the 2nd half, a strong fast attack down their right, a cross into the area, the ball held up in the area and the Fordingbridge striker reacted the fastest to poke the ball into the goal. For the next 10 mins the Trojans were put under pressure with Fordingbridge pressing forward. The Trojans kept thier shape and slowly won more ball back in the midfield, this led to a number of attacks down both wings, more shots on goal, with saves misses and corners but no goals. The pace of the game was high with plenty of tough tackling from both sides. In the 45th minute the Trojans were awarded a free kick just outside the area on the left wing. Harry Kearsley swung a great cross towards the penalty spot, Callum got his head to it and guided it into the far corner. Fordingbridge never stopped pressing and trying, end to end football for the last 15 mins with the Trojans coming out on top 2-1.

| Match Report
The Trojans move on into the semi finals of the League Cup after a very competitive game against Petersfield. The Leopards are the best team that the Trojans have played so far. They are a very hard working, strong and fast team who in the 1st half had trhe better of the game. The tackles were going in thick and fast with Petersfiled getting more of the possession. They were moving the ball quickly forward beyond the defence for their quick strikers to run onto. The Trojan defence held firm, stayed organised and made several clearences, the goalkeeper Matt Lowe coming out and clearing up the long balls. Petersfield had chances on goal but could not hit the target. Later into the half the Trojans pushed forward but could not find a way through. A tough 1st half that ended 0-0.
The 2nd half started in the same way as the 1st, Petersfield attacking with some strong defending by the Trojans. After about 10 mins the Trojans were getting more possesion with the passing game started to click. They were making more headway down the wings, strecthing the Leopards defence which was allowing more room in the central areas. The opposition attacks were getting less frrequent until the 50 min when Callum Morris drove into the penalty area to the right of the goal and was knocked over by the defender, a penalty was awarded. Ryan Blake calmly stepped up and powered the ball home. In the last 10 mins Petersfield threw everything forward, never giving up but after a few tense penalty box scrambles and 3 mins of added time the final whistle went, the Trojans winning 1-0.

| Match Report
Crookham Rovers were again the opponents for the Trojans but this time in the league. The Trojans expected a tough game after the hard fought victory they had a few weeks ago over Crookham. Crookham started the game by winning possesion and pressing the Trojans back into their half. This only lasted for a couple of minutes when on 2 minutes Louie Gilpin put the home team into the lead. The Trojans won possesion in the midfield and moved the ball quickly forward, keeping the ball on the floor, great touch and movement and a through ball form Callum Morris put Louie in for the score. 21 November 2009 11:30 - Hampshire Cup R3 Trojans 6 - 1 AFC Dynamo Youth |
| Match report
The 3rd round of the Hamspshire Cup saw AFC Dynamo travel up from Gosport. Playing at Connaught for the first time this season the Trojans took control of the game from the off. The bigger pitch suited the home team, their quick passing and movement gave the Dynamo team little opportunity to win and retain possesion. The Trojans were 4-0 up in 20 mins but then relaxed, Dynamo got more possession building some good moves and putting the Trojans defence under pressure. This eventually resulted in Dynamo scoring a goal from their right wing, a well taken shot into the far corner.
The Trojans stepped up the intensity in the 2nd half and dominated the game. The passing was quick with a number of one touch exchanges down both wings. This created numerous chances but for some resilient defending and good goalkeeping the Trojans could of hit double figures. The Trojans added two more goals to finish 6-1 winners and move into the quarter finals.

| Match Report
The Trojans came up against a Premiership side in round 3 of the League Cup. Crookham were unbeaten since the opening game of the season and would be a stiff challenge for the home side. The Trojans got into their stride quickly, pressing the opposition when not in possession. The midfield and defence stopped Crookham from developing any passing moves and cut out any long ball forward. They then played the ball around quickly, building play from the defence through midfield which then created a number of chances for both the strikers and midfield players. Crookham were kept under constant pressure, defending well with their keeper making a number of saves from one on ones. The breakthrough eventually came when Louie Gilpin broke free down the right hand side, cut the ball back to Dylan Hooper on the edge of the penalty box who then with one touch passed across to Ryan Blake who was unmarked, Ryan then fininshed an excellent piece of passing play off in a calm manner to put the Trojans 1-0 up. 26 September 2009 10:00 - NEHYL Aldershot Town Blues 1 - 0 Trojans |
| Match Report:
A tough competitive match against a well organised Aldershot team saw the Trojans fall to their first defeat of the season 1:0. The score and the result did not reflect the superiority of the Trojans who had the majority of the possession and were undone by the Blues only shot on goal. Outstanding performances from MOM Andrew Butters and Ryan Blake in the centre ensured that the Trojans defence and midfield were solid, however, good goalkeeping by the Shots keeper meant that the 7 or 8 chances that were created could not be converted. The Trojans came into this game with no substitutes which could have proved more telling , however, when many would flag the team dug deep and in the last 5 minutes shots reined in from Matt Varns, Louie, Dylan, Matt Murphy and others which showed the character of the team. The boys came off with their heads held high itching for the return match. |
